Dear OCSOA Friends -
Congratulations on a great season of college soccer officiating in 2011. Thanks to all of your hard work, dedication, sacrifice and enthusiasm, the OCSOA had a very positive experience with our client schools, visiting institutions and guest participants from around the region. We completed a very successful inaugural year with the Ohio Athletic Conference as their Conference Assignor, and our Assignor, Rizal Milliken has been central to many DIII NCAA post season assignments in Ohio the past few weeks. Kudos to all involved for representing the OCSOA and NISOA so professionally this season.
The OCSOA and NISOA re-registration form for 2012 is now available on this website. This form, and relevant fees, are due to the OCSOA by December 4, 2011. Please complete and return your form and fees to OCSOA Treasurer Michael Kinder (address at bottom of form) by Sunday, December 4, 2011.
NISOA dues remain the same:
$80 for full members
$45 for local assessors
$55 for regional assessors
$65 for national assessors
PLEASE NOTE: NISOA renewal for 2012 requires:
- passing the NISOA fitness test with a 1.0 average in 2011
- attendance at three (3) NISOA meetings in 2011 (other chapters' meetings, NISOA, etc.)
- attendance at an NISOA Annual Rules Meeting in 2011
Reminders:
- Full membership in the OCSOA requires a $30 fee, in addition to NISOA fees
- Dual membership in the OCSOA requires a $30 fee, regardless of your status in another chapter. There are no waivers of the Dual membership fee in 2012.
- Neither full or dual membership guarantees match assignments from the OCSOA, but you must be either a full or dual member to be eligible for OCSOA assigned matches. There are no waivers of the dual membership fee in 2012.
- If you choose to retire, or transfer to another chapter, please submit your form, indicating such so we may update our records
- If you worked OCSOA games in 2011, and choose transfer to another chapter, please submit your form and game assignment fees so we may report that you are a member in good standing in our chapter
Please check your OCSOA account on ArbiterSports.com for your game assignments/turnbacks. The fee is $2 per game, and includes all assignments/turnbacks from the OCSOA (OAC, NCAC post-season tournaments included). If you are unsure of your game count or have questions regarding how to tally your matches, please contact Rizal Milliken and he will help you.
Questions regarding transfers, renewal requirements, etc. should be sent to Kathleen Dolan.
Thank you again, for your amazing commitment to the OCSOA, to NISOA and to college soccer. The student-athletes, coaches, administrators and conference personnel we serve are sincerely appreciative of your efforts.
Respectfully,
The OCSOA Board
